The filming at April's house took place in mid-August, apparently on one of the hottest days of the year in Portland.
Gas Station &
Start Me Up Cafe
I suspected this scene took place at the Start Me Up Cafe in Banks, OR, per a little bit of Google Maps research. It appears to be validated by Kristi at OregonLive and her weekly Grimm recap.
Foster Home
This scene also took place on NE Cleveland, just up the street from the filming location for April's house.
