"Thanks to $27 million in donations announced Thursday, the Oregon Health & Science University's School of Dentistry will have a new facility at the South Waterfront Schnitzer campus. It will mean state-of-the-art equipment and allow them to accept more students."

Cider Summit NW happening today

Cider Summit NW is taking place today in Elizabeth Caruthers Park in the S Waterfront.

This is the event's first year in Portland:
"The inaugural Portland event will be on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 11am-7pm at Elizabeth Caruthers Park in the emerging South Waterfront neighborhood along the Willamette River."

Cost: $20 in advance, $25 at the door (includes a tasting glass and 10 drink tickets.)

Update: Leverage filming today

Lights came on at the trailers and dressing rooms around 3:00am. Filming began early this morning on SW River Parkway.

River Parkway was transformed into a street in Dubai for a Ferrari chase:







Dolce Bistro at the Mirabella was used for filming most of the day:

TV show Leverage filming in SWF June 6

The Portland-based television show Leverage will be filming an episode in the South Waterfront tomorrow, Monday, June 6. Filming is set to begin at 6:00 am and will conclude at approximately 8:00 pm. A Ferrari chase is scheduled on River Parkway!
